its an awesome privilege to be a victorian =) and we must never take it for granted yea?

So as you privileged ones continue going to school this year, remember to treasure every moment spent there, and not let it go to waste. Don't let it be all about pursueing your studies and cca, but also about pursueing Jesus more each day!

Seek what is God's will for you in vj, in your class, in your cca etc... Cos i believe He's got a high calling for every one of you, and theres no more meaningful a way to spend your next few year(s) than to live it according to God's divine purpose, thats meant just for you.

jc has been a season of immense spiritual growth for me, more than anything else. I really believe God is moving in the grounds of vjc, so catch Him while you can! =D

Hey people! STRINGS was great! Did you see Geraldine and her three kiki lalas? Haha! Well, praise the Lord we have had about 60 salvations during this event! And if I'm not wrong, more are still coming in! Keep up those prayers cos we still have a chance at hitting 100 salvations! Everyone remember to drink lots of water and keep yourselves healthy because of the emotional weather we're experiencing right now. Don't any of you fall ill ok!? (Thats means you Grace!)

Hello! Everyone's back from camp safe and sound. Now its time to look forward to STRINGS the musical. Heh! Oh add one more bunch of people i invited. My dear neighbours who live just opposite me! Auntie Susan and family! They're coming just to see me! We better not mess up ok Gerry? :) You three make such an adorable trio! And you blend in with the other two so well! Everyone, continue to support and pray for Gerry as she wins the hearts of many with her adorable roles at the musical. I'll be stoning and deadlike most of the time. Hopefully not scary :S

Well, many people are out of town. Pray for their journey mercy ok? Grace, Sean, Zihua are overseas now. And those bunch of leaders who are going to all parts of the world. Not sure if you recieved their emails. but just pray for them ya? Maybe get UD to forward the emails to you guys if he's free. Oh yes, there is church wide prayer meeting on the 15th this coming friday at night if i'm not wrong. We can arrange to meet and go together if u guys want.

Hi cell,

As we approach the year end i must say i m excited with wat is happening in our cell. First with the camp - Vivien, Peh Ling, Siwei and Benjamin, hope you will open up and get to know or let others know you cause it is only in a camp like this it is possible. It will open up to new experiences and the opportunity of being in the body of Christ.

As for Gerry, Grace, Zihua n Lemuel too, as group ldrs, it will be a challenge to a year end of cell time n megalife trg that this will be a sort of graduating pract.. except Lemuel la. So let's pray for them! Of course we have Alexi n Wei Ming in the games sub com, always ready to serve even tho they have sailing trg in between. As for me as an adult ldr, pls feel free to appr me as we are suppose to help out in our domain. You going to enjoy this camp for sure! Thks guys.

And lastly pls don't forget the rest of you to ask the Lord for names of your friends to invite for the Christmas musical.

On Thursday's CG, we read about when does a dried leaf fall off its branch and take the plunge? When a strong wind comes and blow it off... let's pray that the wind it's not our feelings, friend's influence, parents, or juz.. but that wind for each one of us is God himself!

Heyas all!
Dun tell mi I'm supposed to be muggin, I mug tired liao, so i'm takin a break! haha!

Anyways, for all pictionary lovers out there (which is pretty much all of us), there's this website www.isketch.net where u can play online pictionary for free! I'm like thinkin we can set a time and go together and get a room and play together! so fun rite!? or maybe we can just all go by ourselves and see if we meet each other lah.. maybe we tell each other wat our usernames are then we can see whether any of us are playing at that time! I always sign in as winterbunny :) u can pick any username at the moment cuz there's still no password system in place (it's been like that since like 6 yrs ago - but hey, who's complaining?!). Oh btw, only go into the english UK rooms, otherwise u have to contend with wierd spellings.. Yup yup, i'll come play when i feel sian diao of studying, so hope to see ya there too!

Oh btw, i dunno about the rest of u, but mi com can't use the backspace key when i'm playing, so ya, it gets a little bit troublesome when i type the wrong thing.. Well, just tell u all 1st in case u also can't use the backspace key, then u can use mouse and press delete or something..

hello there's just this someth i'd like to share.. on thursday i went to the polyclinc to get mc and i was waiting to collect my prescription when these 2 women came and sat nxt to me, they look about 20/30 and i sort of like eavesdropped on their conversation

one of them once got involved in a car accident and then was no longer able to walk and her doctor even told her that there was no more chance of her walking or someth, cos of her nerves?? and then one of her friends brought her to church and she herself admitted that she was very reluctant to go, but at the same time she could tell her friend was sincerely only trying to offer up her help

so she went and her friend prayed for her to be able to walk and everyth, and she said she felt some kinda surge in her like a warm feeling and then she could walk again. i always thought these stories were nothing much but now ive heard it from the horse's mouth (or however ppl say it)

so then she went on saying
"the most beautiful thing about this is, the more hardhearted one is, all the more Jesus wants to get to him."

and then she said, all that she ever wanted (since the accident that is), He already gave to her, what more could and should she do then see how He is real. and because of this, she wants to make him real to everyone else.

hear ye! hear ye!

Yup, as Gerry said we had alot of FUN again playing charade yesterday at cell. Ok i declare the men's team THE WINNER for this round! It was a hard fought contest as the women folk were leading when Alexi couldn't get his guys to differentiate pretty, handsome and beauty. Actually it was the tough word hedgehog that Nicholas messed up earlier. However as the competition got going, Peh Ling didn't help showing a small square which got her team confused till Gerry got it - yeast! (err,, tt small square was supposed to be a piece of bread la) Then Grace Chia messed it further with a very simple word though - the word is SIMPLE! She almose broke the concrete floor (hard) trying to do the opposite. And then the speed round came and the men won first with Coral Reef!! err they didn't know the guy that acted Wei MIng is a SAILOR la...... So ladies you own the gentlemen a drink each...(actually, for the record there were 5 men to 4 women la... then again zee women folk accepted the challenge leh).

OK admin -

1) Camp reg tis Sat for early bird saved $15. You pay $80 now but $95 after. Date 27th - 30th Nov at MOE Dairy farm, Upp Bkt Timah. A handful are already planning to go...

2) 28th OCT - JC1 overnight cycling (IP incl urself too) but J2 you can too if you want. No need to have bicycle. Can n encourage to bring friends...

Heys! This mi 1st time bloggin here! haven't blogged for such a terribly long time (since they shut down mi blog somewhere in feb)! Oh yes, welcome to the family siwei!

Yup, got back papers today and ydae... Wasn't too bad, just thank God that most of the papers turned out ok! Realised a lot of things that i dunno could've come out but didn't, so thank God that most of the stuff tested was stuff I noe :) Yup, but more about results during sharing next cell lah.

Meanwhile here's wishing all the year1s all the best for ur promos! Here's a verse to help u all not to panic (dunno if i shared it liao):
Exodus 14:14 :The LORD will fight for you, you need only to be still."
Not sayin u dun study lah, but if u feel unprepared (like we always do), hope this verse reminds u that everything's in God's hands and he loves us and wans the best for us! So dun be anxious! God bless!

and i owe you the answers in last week's quiz, 1) your palm (palm tree) n 2) your nails (finger or toe)!! okay i know some of you are not wrong too but these are my answers i was looking for la... thank you ppl.

well when u think u r done about this exam another pops up la. other than the occasional job requirment tests it's the test of life leh... but thank God i have him...

Ok now for the results i promised you guys about the questions 1. where on your body would you find a tree and 2. where on your body is a carpenter's tool..
but first... here are some answers that were sent in...

1) Pei Ling - ear n hand lor.. ear hor because the shape like the number 3!! (tree or three Pei Ling, nvr read question properly) hand, like a hammer la! (pls if you see her queing up buying food, which is her pastime, be sure to stay a distant n observe her hand...)

2) Sean Lee (yeah first time participant for a long time Sean...) - errr.. don't know first answer but second is eye - cause it can 'saw'.. (Sean.. if both eyes that one see n one saw, you can see-saw too.)

3) the great Lemuel Teo - Saliva gland.. (asked 4 reason but answer is 'ya'..) n he got no 2 right.

4) Zihua - yes our very philosopher (dict : a person who offers views or theories on profound questions in ethics, metaphysics, logic, and other related fields) speaks "...haha shall give you rubbish answer, our whole body are as sturdy and resistant as the tree of life.... (err, hw abt first ans, oops it's too hilarious..hahaha.. can't put hehe it on international haha broadcast...am tearing..)

5) Alexi - i say you find a tree in your lungs, bronchi..(yor that wouldn't be just a tree, it's a forest manz! Second ans is right.)

6) Benjamin Chia - 1st ans, your appendix (why ha?) i dunno, you eat alot of chili then the seeds usually stuck there so you can find a chili tree there. (ok at least you are more civilised than Alexi, cause his a forest but yours a plantation!!) 2nd ans, hamstring is a string! (eyeball??.. ball?)

7) Siwei - 2nd ans correct but 1st one don't know.

8) Wei Ming - no submission (still can't get ovr the $2 fine for calling the previous question lame)..

...well here are all the entries guys, you pick the winner than... i really enjoyed myself.. ok, ok you want to know the answer... OK wait for next week... hahaz..

hey guys, i was looking at Gen 22 again early this morning and i have received 2 more important and exciting truths with rgds to our yesterday's study on faith..
In verse 5, Abr told his 2 servants to wait by the donkey and Isaac and he will proceed to the place to worship and "..we will come back to you." Notice that this whole act of sacrificing Isaac to Abr is an act of worship. Reminds me of Romans 12:1 that we should sacrifice ourselves as a form of spiritual worship. Again as i have mentioned what is your Isaac? (can email me la if u av smeth to chat ovr). Than on the same verse we see Abr's enormous faith - "..we (together) will come back to you." He is very sure Isaac will return with him!
Secondly although this was a test on Abr, i don't know if God took it the same. In verse 3, God bothered to tell/command Abr to sacrifice Isaac.
my thots - At the end of this whole incident, to God but more so to Abr's heart, he would have sacrificed Isaac to the Lord! Though he had faith, moving 3 days he could have talked himself out of it. God didn't wan him to be just impulsive about the whole matter. Then when Isaac asked where's the lamb that could blow him off but...
Conclu.. the Lord will bring us over certain crises and trials... they are not coincidences but the life with God. He is moulding, teaching... and as Nicholas asked how to be like Abr - it's about being intimate with God..knowing His heartbeat for you.

HELLO DEAREST VJ POKHEADS! : DDD
this will be my first blog entry aft a gazillion years! hahaha yes i wna blog abt yest's dinner at seoul garden! it was damn fun la. we are ate like pigs felt like a meatball after i went home. i was lying in bed patting my tummy and it kind of felt like i was pregnant !! hahahaha

anyway back to the food ! we were jst eating normal stuff and cooking in e usual boring manner UNTIL alexi and weiming the chefs arrived! ah. all kinds of strange food emerged aft their arrival but thankfully they were all rather edible. i mean, none of us got food poisoning yet right ! lol. and siwei cooked me a garlic prawn. must give her some credit- i nvr thought i wld live t see that day lol.

oh the people who were there are SIWEI PEILING GRACE NICHOLAS WEIMING ALEXI UNCLE DICK AND ME ! yup it was great ! i had so much fun eating and talking rubbish ! and i received flowers frm alexi and weiming! even though weiming chose funeral flowers but hey its the thought that counts right ! : D and i got a pencil case with a lamb on it ! and an oreo cheesecake! yay THANKS VJCELLERS.

oya we had alot of fun playing truth or dare wahahaha. some scandal within the cell ! but shhhhhh its a secret only among vjcellers! : D
